Respect Life Committee

Our Respect Life Committee at St. Vincent's is again sponsoring a bus to the National March for Life in Washington, DC this year. Because we stay FREE at a Catholic High School, we only charge to cover the cost of the chartered bus. Fee is $25 per person or $50 per family ( kis have to be accompanied by an adult). Actually sleeping in a sleeping bag or on an air mattress in the gym is fun! Just bring your own "bedding". There's large men's and women's bathrooms for cleaning up and dressing and actually it's very comfortable. Your only other costs is for your meals and you can also bring food with you. we will have free snacks and water on the bus. We will stop on route to eat and while in Washington, the bus will take us to a restaurant for meals. Call or text us for more details at 704-737-6360 or 704-252-1203. We hope you'll join us for this most importante event.

The St. Vincent ACES Senior Club have several trips in the planning for 2020.  The first trip that is planned is on Sunday, May 3, 2020 to Newberry Opera House in Newberry SC to enjoy “THE RAT PACK” concert; which is a tribute to the music of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr.  The concert is 3:00p-5:00p and the trip will include restroom/food breaks.  The cost of the trip is $75.00 which includes transportation by luxury motorcoach and admission ticket for orchestra seating.  Because this is a one time show, and many seats have already been reserved, Newberry Opera House requires a deposit by January 17.  St. Vincent Senior Club then needs a $40.00 deposit by January 16 to hold our orchestra seating tickets.  The remaining balance of $35.00 is due by January 31.  Our motorcoach has fifty-six (56) seats, and we have a minimum quota of forty (40) paid seats to confirm the trip.  BONITA TRAVELS has generously offered to donate $100.00 to the ACES when we sell and receive payment for fifty (50) seats.

Due to the holiday box office closings, vacations, and other holiday time restraints, we have a shorter response time than usual.  Since time is of the essence with a deposit due date of next Thursday, January 16, I would be most appreciative if you would review the attached information and let me know by tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8, if you have an interest in going on this trip.  Please reply to this email. As on past trips, we will depart the church parking lot around 12:00 noon and expected to return around 8:00 p.m.  Since we had three (3) of our travels over the last two trips who have had to cancel at the last minute, I have included information on travel insurance.  One of the good things about the trip, since is almost summer, we will leave in daylight and return in daylight.

This would make a wonderful Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or special gift, and I hope many of you will be able tospend a nice Sunday afternoon with the St. Vincent Seniors Club.
